Privacy Policy

EarMemo does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data, and it does not communicate with any external server. Your data stays only on your device. The one exception is the optional Wi-Fi Transfer feature: when you turn it on yourself, files move directly between devices within your own local network.

What stays on your device

Everything you do in EarMemo — imported audio, playback progress, listening stats, notes, bookmarks, and settings — stays on your device. If you have iCloud Backup enabled in iOS Settings, this data is included in your own iCloud backup as part of the standard system backup. EarMemo itself never initiates any sync or reads or writes any remote service.

What EarMemo does not do

• Makes no network requests to any external server.
• Includes no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
• Requests no access to your contacts, location, photos, microphone, or notifications.
• Has no account system; no sign-in is required.

Wi-Fi Transfer

To make it easy to bring in audio from a computer or another device, EarMemo offers an optional Wi-Fi Transfer feature. When it is on, EarMemo temporarily starts a local web service on your Wi-Fi network so devices on the same network can send files to it. The transfer happens entirely within your local network — nothing passes through any external server, and your data never leaves your network. The service stops the moment you close the page or leave the screen. When you are not using this feature, EarMemo makes no network connections at all.

System APIs used

EarMemo uses only standard local iOS APIs: UserDefaults (for settings and listening data), file modification timestamps (for sorting by date), background audio playback, and Live Activities (for the sleep-timer display). None of these APIs involve a network connection or any third party.

Children's privacy

EarMemo is rated 4+ and is safe for children. The zero-collection policy applies to every user regardless of age.
